Fire Cupping

Fire cupping is a form of therapy which uses glass cups and fire to create a vacuum. The cups are placed on the skin and lift muscle tissue, fascia, skin and bring blood to the surface-increasing circulation to an area. Combined with massage, I have experienced incredible tension relief for my clients and they have become a popular part of my clients sessions.

Dry Cupping

Very similar to the fire cupping in terms of the desired results, however these cups are plastic and the vacuum is created with a hand pump rather than a flame. Easier to control the level of suction on each individual cup-these are also an incredible addition to a session which many of my clients are benefitting from right now.

Spinal Manipulation

Sounds extreme I know-but after studying with John Gibbons (Osteopath) I qualified in Spinal Manipulation in the summer of 2021. This allows me to make spinal adjustments to clients where necessary. People often describe this as “back cracking” or “popping”. The noises people hear are often gasses being released which can be of great relief and aid in releasing “tightness” or “restriction” within the spine. The sounds can also be heard when making a physical change to a facet joint. Often Vertebra can rotate out of position or be too open or closed. In order to maintain full range of movement at a joint-manipulations can be of huge benefit to an individual experiencing back pain or who is restricted in their ROM (Range of motion).
